One of the first things that grabs attention with the Ioniq 6 is its stunning design. Hyundai has crafted the vehicle with a smooth, aerodynamic silhouette that not only looks modern but also enhances its efficiency. The design is more than just aesthetics; it plays a crucial role in reducing drag, which contributes to improved range. The LED lighting setup, distinctive front grill, and chic color options further add to its overall appeal, making the Ioniq 6 a standout in the crowded EV market.

The Ioniq 6 packs a punch. With impressive electric motor configurations, it offers robust acceleration that rivals traditional gas-powered vehicles. Whether you’re merging onto the highway or needing to navigate city streets, the agile handling and responsive performance ensure a thrilling driving experience. Moreover, Hyundai has prioritized range in the Ioniq 6. When thinking of a luxury vehicle, words that come to mind are simplicity, elegant, exigent. With those word, come names like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, Cadillac and Lincoln. If Iwas to asked people to name an electric vehicle, majority would say Tesla. There is a vehicle that has combined all these topics, the Lucid Air.
The Lucid Air is an electric 4-door sedan that competes with the Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model S along with a few EV’s from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Lucid announced the vehicle in 2016 and the way the world was goin with Covid, anticipation died down. To my surprise in 2021, vehicles started to sell.
Cargo: From my short time spent with this vehicle I was impressed. Starting with the cargo space, since this is an electric vehicle, there is a frunk!, a trunk in the front of the vehicle usually occupied by the motor. This frunk has whooping 9.9 cubic feet of space which is the largest frunk in its class and if you watch my video below, I actually sit in it. Lastly the rear trunk offers 22.1 cubic feet of cargo space, Impressive.
Interior: Since we’re on the topic of space, the interior isn’t short on it. The front provides 39.6 inches of headroom and 45.4 inches of max legroom. While seated comfortably in the front there is no need to slide the seat forward to accommodate the rear passengers. Provided is 37.8 inches of headroom and 37.6 inches of Legroom.
Features: After comfortably getting settled in the drivers seat, there was nothing short of simplicity and elegance in front of me. A curved 34 inch 5K glass display reaches more than half way across the dash, which consist of the gauge cluster and infotainment system. A lower touch display handles all your driver comforts and needs. Adjust your seats, steering wheeladjustment and climate to name a few. In total, there are 5 screens, 3 that make up the 34 inch display, the center console and then rear center console.
Her are some trim level prices and performance specs as of June 2024.

Kia has added a new model to its growing and revamped lineup, the Kia K4.
With an overall length of 185.4 inches and 72.8 inches in width, this compact sedan is on the larger end of the segment. The first thing you’ll notice is the hidden rear door handles on the C-pillar which makes the fastback proportions stand out, giving the vehicle a slick, fast, sporty look, at what should be an incredible price. Even though this design typically cuts into interior dimensions, Kia somehow afforded 14.6 cubic feet of trunk space, while still giving 38 inches of leg room to 2nd row passengers.
5 trim levels are set to be available in the United States, the LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo. A 147hp 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 132 lb.-ft. of torque will be standard. The All-New Kia K4 is expected to arrive in the US market late summer of 2024.
Here it is at the 2024 New York International Auto Show:
An SUV we didn’t expect but, in a market dominated by SUVs, someone had to challenge the king, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
Back in 1967, Toyota celebrated its founder Sakichi Toyoda 100th birthday by naming the companies most luxurious vehicle, the Century. This 4-door sedan was primarily used by the Prime Minister, senior government leaders and high-level business executives of Japan. Pretty much the Rolls-Royce of Japan, but in today’s world, the century name is being challenged.
So, on September 6, 2023, Toyota unveiled the Century SUV and began taking orders that same day. While being built in Japan for right hand drive, a left-hand drive version for the Chinese-market will be sold through Lexus dealers as an import. Which is only the second time a Century model has been sold outside of Japan.
Powertrain:
This exclusive SUV shares a few things with its close’s relatives, the Toyota Grand Highlander and Lexus TX. The GA-K platform and hybrid motor just to name a couple. Speaking of motor, this SUV is powered by a 3.5L Hybrid V6 putting out 259hp. Being that AWD is standard, a rear electric motor producing 75kw(101hp) and a front motor producing 133kw(179hp), gives this vehicle a combined output of 404hp. All this powertrain tech gives the passengers a comfortable yet reliable ride, but this vehicle is to be chauffeured.
Interior and Features:
This vehicle is not to be underestimated. With features such as fully reclining rear captain seats and rear doors that open up 75 degrees wide, you will look like someone of importance stepping out. But Toyota kept to its roots and culture. Designers worked with a musical instrument maker to perfectly tune the cabins acoustics, to sound as if you are at a live performance. Different textures, materials and finishes truly represent cultural and native items. If that’s not enough, Toyota offers customization of the Century with the help of Century Meisters. A small team of specialist who can incorporate features and finishes that the customer heart desires.
A sportier version with sliding rear doors, side skirts, lower front and rear diffusers, was unveiled the same day. All this can be yours with a starting price of $170,000. Not too bad for a Rolls Royce Cullinan rival.
Known as the most luxurious automotive company on the planet. Rolls-Royce has been a name of high class for over a century and a company where money is no object. Now, Rolls-Royce has turned over a new leaf and it’s not the money. We’re talking about the new market of EVs.
Introducing the world’s first ultra-luxury electric coupe. A new vehicle for a new class, the Rolls-Royce Spectre.
Comfortably seating 4 passengers in bucket seats with ultra luxury materials and features, this coupe is the perfect combination of craftsmanship and technology. With a starting price in the mid $400,000’s, it’s nowhere near cheap, but driving a ‘Double R’ is not for the budgeting individuals. Rolls-Royce offers the same customizable treatment as it’s other vehicles. Where the Spectre stands out, is its electric propulsion.
The Spectre rides on the same platform as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Phantom. On this platform lye’s a 102-kWh battery pack that can be found in the BMW I7. The wheels are powered by two electric motors with a combined 577hp and 664 lb.-ft of torque. Mileage is estimated at just under 300 miles per 1 full charge, which is nowhere near its closest rivals. The Lucid Air Touring has an estimated range of 425+ miles per charge and the Tesla Model S, 405. One notable feature about the interior is that the starlight headliner design can be optioned on the door panels.
The Spectre in my opinion takes the place of the Rolls Royce Wraith, which was discontinued in the United States in 2021 and for the rest of the world, 2023. The Spectre however, is slightly larger than the Wraith in every way dimension wise and is our first look at the next chapter of Rolls-Royce. Maybe we will get a convertible version which would be the Rolls-Royce Dawn replacement. With plans to phase out gasoline vehicles by 2030, is seems to be a complicated but exciting future for Rolls-Royce.
